Interview with the poet Bhagirath Choudhary

Interview conducted by Lenuș Lungu

Bhagirath Choudhary is a man of value, a soul with an inner and outer activity.
The writer Bhagirath Choudhary is a believer of the brush, he writes with the warmth of the soul and the brilliance of the word. The magic of words in flocks, vibrant in sounds. With the lucidity of a vision in any accent is focused exclusively on the accuracy of absolute precision. Style is a powerful dream with a poetic intonation, unity of thought and vision. Bhagirath Choudhary's poems express more, more perfectly a state, graded constructions. The poems represent the beauty that transforms them into the art of the word. The psychology of the lyric is an obvious one, this being an engine of the inspiration and existence of the poetic hero. It is easy to see how the lyrics shake off the classic coat and adopt the contemporary model, the poet adapts perfectly. Poems have a great value and a great appreciation from readers and literary critics.

Lenuș Lungu: What can you tell us about yourself and your literary activity?

Bhagirath Choudhary: As a child I loved to observe my surroundings and discern the truth out of my observations based upon my truthful self realization without any "Preconceived cognitive commitments" baggage, thanks God, my parents gave me very little or no mental conditioning, leaving me free to make my own discernments and discover the truth myself about the world around me. At the same time, I was very fortunate to receive the lessons of universal empathy from my mother and my father gave me steadfast resolve to seek truth and follow earnestly the Truth Dharma.
Later, I chose to study science as a means and an authentic resource to know the world around me truthfully with the help of empirical evidence. I followed Yogic technique of Know Thyself and Scientific evidence together, making it my two way channel to know existential reality as it is.
Howover, later through my Scientific studies, I discovered that the greatest cosmic seeker of the truth is none other than the "Life Principle" so who could tell me the truth better than the Life Principle, I wondered ?
Because, the "Life Principle" has been working really hard and determinately investigating the evolutionary truth for millions of years and now, finally the evolution coming to the apex of the evolutionary station of a human being who is indeed the ultimate embodiment of the all inclusive evolutionary truth and existential reality.
My literary activity is focused on highlighting the "Evolutionary Cosmic Humanism" which calls upon a human being to expand his self consciousness of a territorial being into the cosmic consciousness of an universal being by observing mindful steadfast adherence and practice of the divine attributes of universal empathy, justice, equality, unconditional love and compassion.
Knowing that the evolutionary truth of millions of years is embodied in a human being and the universe is expressing itself through a human being. Through my literary creativity endeavor, I try to convey to my readers this very truth wisdom which I gathered around here on my earth pilgrimage of this birth.
I invite and implore my readers, to observe themselves the human body and its physical and mental resources, showing that the evolution has made a man as an apostle of nonviolence because we come to earth, naked without any tools of offence or defence. Also a human child comes to earth as a blank slate hence coming to practice absolute innocent trust in the Creation of God and his or her parents that they will initiate and teach him the universally benevolent knowledge and skills. Also, we observe that only a man stands vertically straight at 90 degree to keep aligned with the center of the universe, showing that man is a truth seeking organism. Moreover, the latest Neuroscientific research has established beyond any doubt that altruistic thoughts strengthen our immune system, proving that a man is also an altruistic organism, because who knows us better than our own immune system?.

Lenuș Lungu: How do you see poetry in today's literature?

Bhagirath Choudhary: For me, the Poetry is a mission and not a profession. Whenever, a missionary zeal is replaced by professional interests, it degenerates into a self centered endeavor for self aggrandizement, self glory, greed, profit and profanity. This can be understood more easily if we look at modern politics which has become a profession for profit and profanity leading to the global moral collapse and not a life mission like that of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela.
The Poetry in today's literature has lost the missionary zeal of a loving Poet for a better world. The contemporary Poetry is the product of professionalism, desire of instant self glory and aggrandizement. The Poetry has become more cerebral and mental gymnastics than rising from a loving heart enamored with universal empathy, deep gratitude, humility, reverence, unconditional love and compassion for one and all and a deep desire to see and seek a better world.

Lenuș Lungu: What are you writing now and what are your plans for the future?

Bhagirath Choudhary: At the moment, I am writing more about the rampant global moral collapse and current affairs which require our immediate attention. Humanity is engaged in endless justifications for the persistent use of force and violence, animalistic attitudes of jealous competition, doubt and idealism of personal convenience than a honest commitment to humanitarian values.
Humanity is keeping the inferno of all devouring fire born of insatiable greed and gluttony, profit mongering, sadistic vanity, narcissistic selfishness and irresponsible consumerism which is leading us to the global scenario of collective self deception, distrust, self delusion and self suicidal tendencies inviting the imminent destruction of humankind and her only cosmic homestead, the planet Earth.
My future plans are based upon the urgent need to highlight the anti evolutionary animalistic tendencies which are keeping global humanity locked in the state of animal existence and if those are not corrected in time, these could eventually lead to complete annihilation of humankind and earth.
My mission of literary activism is based upon the need to facilitate the alignment of the collective human consciousness with the evolutionary mandate of truth wisdom which made the man in an altruistic, empathetic truth loving wisdom organism equipped with the Neocortical human brain for mindful and just discernment and discrimination to rise above the animalistic attributes and attain the universally benevolent intellect and intelligence for universal welfare and well-being.

Lenuș Lungu: What can you tell us about your activities?

Bhagirath Choudhary: My day begins at 3:50 AM, most of my morning hours are invested in Yoga, meditation and spiritual writing downloading my mind, heart and soul in the digital database which I use later when writing my poetry and prose as a ready reference.
Later in the day, along with my social responsibility to perform the social service and community work, I employ my time and energy for reading the frontier Scientific research papers in various fields like Neuroscience, Artificial Intelligence, biotechnology, Nanotechnology, cognitive intelligence, altruistic social psychological research, science of Metamaterials, Sensor technology, Mirror neuronal networking for deep universal empathy, which help me to keep aligned with the truth and existential reality with the help of scientific evidence and writing for magazines, news papers Poetry, books.

Lenuș Lungu: You have won numerous literary awards. How you feel? What can you tell us?

Bhagirath Choudhary: Winning awards is indeed an unnecessary but pleasant distraction from the path of humility, universal empathy, deep gratitude, respect and reverence for all which can slow down the progress of the mental evolutionary process.
It is well advised in the Science of Yoga, that the awards and recognitions usually strengthen the egoistic tendencies and temptations to consider oneself better than others which ends in slowing down of the learning sharpness by deep listening and mental focusing because ego doesn't want to know that someone is better and wise than himself.
Ego loves to hold the candle of knowledge outside to boast and show to the world but that ends up into wasting most precious time of human existence upon earth. While the humble, deeply grateful and egoless wise, usually keep the candle of wisdom within to light up the interiors of his being rather than outside egoistic drama.

Lenuș Lungu: How do you divide between poetry and humanitarian activities?

Bhagirath Choudhary: Through long time constant focused mental attention and practice, I have created universally benevolent habits of thoughts, words and deeds and this automated subconscious habit force helps me to flow through my day without any resistance, keeping engaged in writing poetry and performing my duties focused on family, social and humanitarian activities.
Knowing that the greatest cosmic blessing is the time we have upon earth in human body but the major portion of our precious day time is invested in earning enough which can sustain our chosen life style leaving very little or no time for our anxiety free personal evolutioary process of mental evolution. To attain this long cherished "flow" of life and living, I worked with focused dedication to create an automation of a permanent income flow from the financial assets and resources, which helped me to transcend the survival mode of existence into sovereign mode of existence, leaving plenty of anxiety free day time for my chosen productive activities..

Lenuș Lungu: You are a great poet of literature. Your poems being real jewels. Why a poet?

Bhagirath Choudhary: Poetry helps me to dive deep in my mind, heart and soul to seek the existential truth for my personal evolution to be and become a responsible earth citizen. Also, poetry facilitates the empowerment of my emotional ecosystem of humanitarian values, deep gratitude, humility, reverence and respect for the right of happy existence of all the sentient beings upon earth, universal empathy, unconditional love and compassion, responsible consumption and responsible earth citizenship. In other words, Poetry helps me to grow and thrive seeking a better world for one and all.

Lenuș Lungu: What inspired you to write poetry?

Bhagirath Choudhary: For me, Poetry is a mission and not a profession. The art of Poetry can compose an epic and the story about universe in few words most effectively whereas prose or other formats of human literary expression require a colossal amount of words to tell its narrative. Poetry helps me to say much more with less words and also keeping my expression concise and simple. .
Also, Poetry communicates directly with the deep emotional ecosystem of human heart than the cerebral mental exercise of "me and mine". It opens the heart chakra of the readers with the help of the poetic expressions and experiences highlighting the universal empathy, humility, deep gratitude and reverence.
Poetry begins with deep emotional ecosystem of universal empathy which empowers the view and vision of the poet to feel the pain and suffering as deeply within his own heart and mind as his fellow human being is feeling. A poet without the deep emotional ecosystem of universal empathy can only write "dead letters" which never communicate with the heart of the reader but to write "living letters", the poet must incorporate within his emotional ecosystem with deep gratitude, reverence, humility empowered by universal empathy, seeking universal well being and welfare for one and all.

Lenuș Lungu: Who is your biggest critic?

Bhagirath Choudhary: Since, I don't believe in the modern doctrine of worldly competition and animalistic drama of the survival of the fittest, which is the major cause of human suffering upon earth, instead I believe in the human cooperation in all the spheres of existential activities like personal, social, economic, national and global.
Yes, I do practice competition but only to compete with myself, which helps me for attaining self improvement and progressive self transformation.
This pursuit of self competition within helps me to be my own biggest critic. Thus, the self criticism helps me to keep aligned with my life mission of a responsible earth citizen.

Lenuș Lungu: In conclusion, a few words for the readers of Taifas literary magazine?

Bhagirath Choudhary: Knowing that words are the seeds which germinate into the neural network patterns creating an emotional ecosystem for facilitating the Neurolinguistic programming of the human mind, popularly known as NLP. Thus, acquired NLP then, results in the altered mental states expressing into different corresponding human behavior whether personal, social and national behavior of the humanity.
Knowing that humanity has reached the point of singularity of negative news feed by the global media which has created a global ecosystem of negativity keeping the humanity under the perpetual anxiety, uncertainty and fear which gets expressed in the collective anger and apathy between nations of earth, incubating and escalating the conditions for territorial, cultural, religious and racial disputes ending in wars and rampant global violence.
We, as poets and writers active on social media, have a big responsibility of arresting this global emotional ecosystem of rampant negativity with the help of "Positive Literature" highlighting the universally benevolent thoughts, words and actions beyond the boundaries of color, class, caste, creed, race, region, religion and nations by writing the "living letters" focused upon universal justice, human equality including the gender equality, universal empathy, tolerance, global human unity, solidarity, brotherhood, International understanding, unconditional love and compassion.
In other words, we, the poets and writers must work hard diligently and determinately to encourage, empower and enlighten the masses by creating a global wave of Positive Literature which can facilitate the building of a better world for us and our future generations.

Love and light
